Lock & Dam #9

Lock & Dam #9 is located near Harpers Ferry and features a viewing platform to watch the massive barges, pleasure craft, and a occasional paddle wheeler pass by.

Fishing and Hunting

Harpers Ferry is known as a Fisherman's Paradise, and  offers the widest variety of fish that can be caught, including: Bass, Crappies, Blue Gills, Walleye, Northern Pike, Buffalo, and Carp. Also, there are twenty trout streams in the Harpers Ferry area that are stocked weekly. 

Duck and Goose hunters revel in their bounty every year which is bagged from 11,00 acres of public hunting ground in Allamakee County. White Tail Deer, wild Turkey, and small game equally abound in our area.
