Grumpy Old Men Days
As home to the "Grumpy Old Men" movies, Wabasha hosts a February Celebration of the films. Join the Locals as they enjoy ice shack and ice fishing contests, a 9-hole golf course on ice and a spaghetti dinner dance. This year's event takes place on February 24, 2001.
Riverboat Days
Each July, Wabasha celebrates its Mississippi heritage with Riverboat Days. Street dances, a water-ski show, a parade, arts and crafts, and a water fight are part of the festivities. For more information call 651-565-4158. This years event takes place on July 27 & 28, 2001.
85 Mile Garage Sale
This unique event takes place on the first weekend in May, Saturday and Sunday From Alma, WI to Bay City, WI on Highway 35 and Red Wing, MN to Kellogg, MN on Highway 61. Residents and business in 13 historic river towns clean out their attics, garages, and basements for this very large garage sale. The sale runs from 9 5 on both Saturday and Sunday and is held rain or shine and is sponsored by the Mississippi Valley Partners. Call 608-685-3511 for more information.
