Water Ski Days

Held annually on the last weekend of June on Lake Pepin, over 20,000 people come to Lake City for this celebration. Here you will find music, crafts, parades, a classic car show and of course, the famous water ski show! This event is to honor Ralph W. Samuelson, who created the sport of Water-skiing  in 1922.

Johnny Appleseed Days

Held annually on  the first weekend of October. This event commemorates the abundance apples growing the are and is held during the peak of the region's spectacular fall foliage display. One-fourth of the 700,000 Minnesota grown apples come from orchards in the Lake City area.

Winterfest 

Celebrated annually on the first full weekend of February in Lake City. Come celebrate with downhill and cross-country skiing, ice fishing contests, arts & crafts, a smoosch race, a horse drawn parade, and a fantastic fireworks display over Lake Pepin.

85 Mile Garage Sale

This unique event  takes place on the first weekend in May, Saturday and Sunday From Alma, WI to Bay City, WI on Highway 35 and Red Wing, MN to Kellogg, MN on Highway 61. Residents and business in 13 historic river towns clean out their attics, garages, and basements for this very large garage sale. The sale runs from 9  5 on both Saturday and Sunday and is held rain or shine and is sponsored by the Mississippi Valley Partners.  Call 608-685-3511 for more information.
