Lake Pepin

Lake Pepin was discovered in 1680 by Father Louis Hennepin. when he discovered the beautiful lake in the Mississippi River he called it the "Lake of Tears". What is now called Lake Pepin is a 22-mile long lake formed by the delta of the Chippewa River flowing into the Mississippi River. The sport of water-skiing, which is now enjoyed by millions people, was invented by Ralph Samuelson in 1922 on the waters of Lake Pepin.

Hok-Si-La Park

As one of the larger parks in the area, Hok-Si-La Park has over 250 acres of facilities in a natural setting along the lake shore. It has everything you need in a park including nature trails, campsites, play ground equipment, a swimming beach picnic tables and cooking facilities for all group small and large. This park is one half north of Lake City on Hwy. 61

Ohuta Park

Ohuta has a beautiful swimming beach on the lakefront, picnic area and it has excellent park and playground facilities. Located 3 blocks east of Highway 61 on Lyon Avenue. 

Patton Park

Patton Park is located one block south of Hwy 61 on Hwy 63. The park is one city block in size and has a delightful center fountain, a gazebo and cement waling paths. 

Roshen Park

Roshen Park offers excellent picnic area for large and small groups. It also features playground equipment, tennis courts, shelters, and a beautiful view of the lake. Located on the south end of town on Hwy. 61. 

McCahill Park

McCahill park has park and playground equipment near the boat harbor. Also you can fish from the pier. Located on Hwy. 61, three blocks south of Hwy. 63.
