St. John Mine
St. John Mine, which is a national historic site, is one of Wisconsin's oldest lead mines. Enjoy guided tours showing mining tools, the miner's lifestyle and learn about lead ore. Tours last about 45 minutes to one hour. Open daily from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, May through October. Group rates available.
Passage Thru Time Museum
Experience life in the early 19th century as you walk through time. Models, murals, exhibits and displays containing historical views of the Potosi Brewery, early mining, agricultural achievements, Indian arrowheads as well as an extensive doll display.
British Hollow Smelting Furnace
The last smelting furnace of its kind in the lead region, with a 200 foot underground chimney. Take Highway 61 one mile north of Potosi and turn east on Hippy Hollow Road. Historical marker.
