Perrot  State Park

Named for French Explorer Nicholas Perrot, who built a trading post here in 1665. The park's 1,243 acres are nestled among 500-foot bluffs where Trempealeau and Mississippi Rivers meet. Here you will find Brady's Bluff, Which offers one of the best views of spectacular fall color and great sunsets along the Mississippi River. This park has breathtaking river views, burial mounds, hiking, mountain biking and skiing trails. The park also contains Indian ceremonial and burial mounds in addition to petroglyphs marking the vernal equinox and the summer solstice. The mountain was considered sacred ground by the area's Native Americans.
