The Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum
Located right in Historic Pepin on Highway 35, this museum offers displays, memorabilia, antiques and souvenirs about Laura and the pioneer era. The knowledgeable staff will answer all of your questions and will provide fascinating insights on Laura and her life. Souvenirs are on sale as well. The Laura Ingalls Wilder Wayside
Just a short trip seven miles north of Pepin on County Road CC, you will find this reconstructed log cabin depicting a historically-accurate representation of where Laura was born and how things were when she lived in Pepin in the 1870s, as described in her book "Little House in the Big Woods". Amenities such as picnic tables and restrooms. You can even pump fresh well water, just like Laura used to do. This replica is meant to show" Open all year long.The Pepin Depot Museum
Located on Highway 35 in Pepin's Laura Ingalls Wilder Park. This building was the original Pepin depot, which was built in 1886, and was saved from destruction years ago by a former railroad employee. It has since been restored and is now kept up by a staff of volunteers. It is filled with a wide array railroad and steamboat memorabilia, complete with an old telegrapher's machine, telephones and railroad tools and photos, models and replicas from Mississippi and Chippewa River excursion, ferry and logging boats. Much of the displays have been donated by museum patrons. This depot, located in the park on Highway 35, is open April 1 to Oct. 31. The Lake Pepin Players
Located on 2nd St., This renowned summer theater gives you a great opportunity to come and see a wide variety of musicals and plays with Emmy Award-winning national and regional talent on stage. The theatre is open weekends for matinees and evening performances from May through October. Come see big city talent in a small village!
